Benefits of a Truck-Mounted Falcon Asphalt Hot Box
A truck-mounted asphalt hot box from Falcon will slide right into the bed of your truck and allow your crew to start making repairs quickly. Built with efficiency in mind, it will help save time and money.
You’ll be able to keep hot mix asphalt for up to 72 hours while quickly warming cold patch mix. With two diesel-fueled burners it will allow you to recycle millings, virgin uncompressed asphalt, and asphalt chunks.

How Do Truck-Mounted Recycling Machines Work?
You will need an optional two-burner system if you wish to recycle asphalt. Once you’ve securely mounted the hotbox onto your truck, follow these three simple recycling steps:
- Use a rejuvenator to coat the hardened asphalt
- Load the hopper with asphalt chunks and millings
- Set the temperature controls to the lowest possible heat setting overnight.
Returning old asphalt to its original state requires protecting the original oils it contains. Other brands of recyclers will use an open flame to heat the hardened asphalt patching directly. The high heat causes the original oils to burn off, release black smoke, and create unusable asphalt.
Falcon truck-mounted recyclers use two burners and cross ducts to distribute heat throughout the hopper evenly. The high-density insulation allows the hopper to retain the ideal amount of heat required to break down the asphalt.
Thanks to the unique construction and combustion chamber shape, a Falcon recycler boasts a 92% fuel efficiency rating—that’s less than three gallons of diesel fuel used per work shift.
